Recorded in 1992 Midnight Wind is a concept album that takes the listener on a skyward journey from the fading rays of the sun at twilight into the enchantments of the midnight hour and onto dawn. Midnight Wind features a blend of new age and world music influences blended with progressive guitar instrumentals and is considered by most Losfer Words fans to be an all time favorite.

Song Concepts :

Twilight: No two sunsets are alike. Twilight is a vivid display of multi-colored hues in the sky as the suns light refracts through the atmosphere and reflects off of evening clouds as the shadows begin to engulf the daylight and the stars begin to scream out their own light against the fading brilliance of the sun. Twilight is a breathtakingly beautiful piece performed on a single electric guitar, with haunting, complex reverb effects.

The Moon In The Mist: A full moon seen through the partially veiling mist of foggy evening. The Moon in the Mist is a rich, swirling tapestry of synthesizers performed in real time that engulfs the listener in a veil of sound.

Falling Stars: That the heavens declare the glory of God is self evident. Gazing up into the night sky and seeing everything from moons, planets, stars and the celestial wonders of nebulae and galaxies, is the equivalent of discovering the finger print of the Creator in the night sky canvas. This track in particular was inpsired by a mid-August night spent watching the Pereseid meteor shower. Falling Stars utilizes synthesizers performed in real time and a subtle Japanese music influence to create a cascading, sonic stars falling all around the listener.

No Running In the Hall of Dreams: Inspired by flying dreams. Of course there is no running in the hall of dreams-- Got wings?

Enchanted: A graceful, melodic, instrumental rock guitar ballad.

Midnight Wind:An early autumn night, under the intense light of the Harvest Moon and star filled skies. Synthesizers performed in real time bring the Midnight Wind rushing in.

Echoes:Night time under the stars is a great time and place for reflecting on pleasant thoughts of the past. Echoes is a blending of an upbeat, power-rock style instrumental ballad, with new age music.

Spiral Descent: No flying dream is complete without it's counter part, the falling dream. However, this part of the night flight is not an Icarus like fall; it is a graceful, yet powerful, descent. Spiral Descent features the a blending of new age music with the twin lead guitar sound Losfer Word fans have come to know and love over the years.

Shadows Fall:The shadows that dance undermoonlight, hastily retreat with the advent of dawn. Synthesizers performed in real time capture the mood of the shadows and mystical feeling of night departing into the pre-dawn hours of the misty morning.
